Hem of His Garment Ministries

This is the title of the ministry that Jim and June Ford work under which has a specific vision and goal. The ministry was born out of a word that God placed on Jim’s heart some years ago when The Lord spoke to him from the story in Mathews Gospel Ch. 9 concerning the woman with the issue of blood and the fact that as she reached out in desperation and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment she was made whole. God then challenged Jim on the possibility of him becoming the “Hem of HIS Garment” and as people reached out for God that they might touch him (Jim), and in doing so touch Jesus and Jim was to become the very hem of Jesus’ garment. This was one of the biggest challenges Jim had ever received “touch me touch Jesus” but with it came a fresh revelation of the truth of “The realities of who we are in Christ” and that it’s not about us but about HIM and HIS GRACE. That HE is prepared to work through individuals, who are just ordinary human beings, but they have an extraordinary God.

Jim Ford has been in the ministry for 30+ years. At the age of 28 he was called to pioneer a new work in his local area of Stoke on Trent. He then went on to serve as one of the pastors for 21 years. He is currently based at Penkhull Christian Fellowship (AOG) where he is an associate minister and facilitates a discipleship group of young people called “History Makers”. From this group he takes teams or individuals out with him on various trips. He is involved in trans local and international ministry, and has ministered in Europe (several countries), Africa, India, Mexico, USA, Canada and around the UK. The main focus of the ministry is on equipping the saints, endeavoring to bring them to the revelation and reality of who they are in Christ. This coupled with a heart to empower the saints as well as building and establishing the local church, has been the desire of Jim’s heart in ministry. He has seen God perform some amazing miracles also healing's and deliverance, Jim also moves in the prophetic and tha apostolic gifting which God has placed on his life. Currently he is working with a number of churches, working with the leadership and the local congregations. He is also on the board of “The International Fellowship of Ministries” based in the Pacific Northwest of America as the UK Director, he also facilitates IFM's work in Africa.

Jim and June have been married since November 1973 and they work jointly together in the ministry, June takes care of History Makers when Jim is away. She also travels with Jim on occasions where she also shares and ministers at Ladies meetings. June also has a heart for people and is gifted in just getting alongside people and speaking into their lives. Jim and June have two grown daughters, (both who are now married), Ceri and Lisa, and all live in the city area of Stoke-on-Trent, England. Both daughters are serving the Lord. The eldest Ceri is a Youth Pastor, Worship Leader and Heads up the Womens Ministry at Penkhull and is married to Dan who is the assistant Pastor at PCF. Lisa the youngest is also involved in the local church working as a youth leader with the younger children, she also one of the joint leaders of the chuch social team. Sam, Lisa's husband plays bass guitar in the worship team , he also heads up the sound technicians, both are key members of History Makers. Jim and June also have two amazing granchildren Alicia Jai who is six and Joshua James who is an energetic 10 months old.
