Just a Thought

Key’s…. to many of us just an every day piece of equipment that sits most of the day in our pocket or purse, we probably never give it a thought until we inadvertently lose them, miss place them or when we need to use them to gain access to some where. They come in different shapes and sizes… sometimes now even in the form of a credit card style, however still most are made of metal, but in most cases one size does not fit all.

That is not so in the Kingdom of God, God has the master key…. and has chosen us to carry the responsibility of utilising His keys

Matthew 16:19
"And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven." (Message)

This will allow us to unlock mysteries of the kingdom of God…. To unlock the secrets of the heart of God…. To unlock and remove the barriers in people’s lives…. To allow access into the blessing and favour of God….

God has the key to unlock hearts… even those which are stuck by stubbornness … unbelief… Hurts… disillusionment…

We might just be the key to unlock the door of someone’s life…. We must not become like the Pharisees

Luke 11:52 "Alas for you expounders of the Law! for you have taken away the key of knowledge: you yourselves have not entered, and those who wanted to enter you have hindered." (Weymouth)

Does that mean counselling someone for hours… I Would rather think that it is in seeing the opportunities that come along, that kind word spoken in passing …the act of kindness done just because you were able… even just a smile to that person you pass in the street, office, factory, school, shopping mall, supermarket… or maybe giving someone that moment of time from our busy schedules…or it could be even just to listen for awhile, someone once said “the art of a good conversationalist was the ability to listen”

Who knows which key you have to unlock someone’s life?

Matt 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (NKJV)

How do we obtain the keys? How do we get to the place of using the keys? To be sure that are in the right place at the right time…

Well read this next verse and then take God at HIS word and become the man or woman HE has called you to be and use the Keys He has deposited in you

Isaiah 33:6
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.

I will leave the rest of this pause for thought for you to fill in….. I just trust that indeed you will use the above key to open up your life and that of others.
