SUMMARY Mummies of Guanajuato

Rchie Lieberman; story The Next in Line by Ray Bradbury 100 pages; full page bw images throughout; 975 x 12 inch. This was considerably different from any other mummy book I ve read The first half of the book is a Ray Bradbury story about some folks from the US who visit the Guanajuato mummies and the 2nd half is pictures of various mummies These made this a cool book but what I REALLY wanted was some facts about the mummies in the pictures Since they took all these mummies out of their graves they should at least have names birthdatesand the date of their death tho information would be fascinating I m still glad I own it but I will be on the lookout for a book that has the info or better yet convince some friends to take a road trip to the museum with me জামশেদ মুস্তফির হাড় graves they should at least have names birthdatesand the date of their death tho information would be fascinating I m still Memoirs of Madame de La Tour du Pin glad I own it but I will be on the lookout for a book that has the info or better yet convince some friends to take a road trip to the museum with me

Haunting photos by Archie Lieberman of the mummies from El Museo de las Momias Mexico with a 1947 short story by. This is an odd hybrid photographer Archie Lieberman captures the title subjects in black and white He then grafts one of Ray Bradbury s early short stories The Next In Line also about the title subject into his work Thus this consists of Lieberman s photos coupled with a reprint of Bradbury s story The images are disturbing and the story is no less so As usual Bradbury exhibits his usual penchant for poetic language to great effect and I still maintain that I ve never read anything truly bad by him Thus while entertaining enough this is a curiosity which considering that it must be tracked down used will only be of real interest to Bradbury completists who it should be noted are possessed by a uixotic uest to begin with I Love You Almost Always grafts one of Ray Bradbury s early short stories The Next In Line also about the title subject into his work Thus this consists of Lieberman s photos coupled with a reprint of Bradbury s story The images are disturbing and the story is no less so As usual Bradbury exhibits his usual penchant for poetic language to Gloom Town great effect and I still maintain that I ve never read anything truly bad by him Thus while entertaining enough this is a curiosity which considering that it must be tracked down used will only be of real interest to Bradbury completists who it should be noted are possessed by a uixotic uest to begin with

Ray Bradbury Î 1 SUMMARY

Ray Bradbury about a couple who visit the museum where the wife has an enlightening experience Photographs by A. I had the luck of discovering this book right after visiting the museum The photos and the story capture the horrifying expressions and painfully constricted body contortionsThe story though also takes you into the town of Guanajuato Bradbury describes it so well The town hasn t changed much in centuriesThis is not a story about mummies It s a story about loneliness and the human condition It s about how our bodies lose their beauty over time long before we dieI visited the museum and read the book during the pandemic so death was already in the air
