Flat Stanley

Sta. I had always loved the original version of Flat Stanley but decided to go ahead and get this new edition to read to my class at Energy Express a reading enrichment program for children in West Virginia I knew it would be easier to get a hold of and would be a bit shorter than the original which I have found didn t always keep the kid s attention for long due to it s lengthI m pleased with how it s been adapted I don t think much was changed The illustrations are also very goodThis is a great story and a lot of fun to read with kids After we read it we all traced each other on big sheets of end roll and and then painted ourselves and cut them out so we could have flat versions of ourselves The kids loved it

We homeschool and I was excited to learn of Flat Stanley as I hadn’t heard of it in school. I bought this book thinking my kids would be able to color their own flat Stanley after reading it. I was hoping they would be excited to mail him across the country to family members that could then take him on adventures and mail him back. They’re 8 and 6.

My kids didn’t care for the storyline. I didn’t either to

The book uses the word "kill" on a childrens book? There are millions of educative words and things to teach kids. I found it inappropiate to use that word. Overall, the book has good adventures but quite difficult for a 6 year old to read.

I bought this as a gift but the paper inside and print was pretty subpar. It felt really cheap. I felt a little bad giving it, but timing wish it had been better quality. Nevertheless, the giftee enjoyed it and it’s still a fun story! Next time I’ll look for a better (hopefully unupdated) version.

My son is reading it for school for 2nd grade and he loves it. He had to do a report on it. The book is fun, not too long to lose focus and at his reading and comprehension level.

Good read for elementary schoolers. My daughter and her class (2nd grade) seem to really enjoy the Flat Stanly series; this is the second one they voted on to read. Recommend for 2nd grade and up.

Though I was a keen reader as a child, few books ever really stuck in my memory through to adulthood. Now, with a family of my own, I have embarked upon that phase of 'you must do everything I did as a child'. I'm not sure whether it's nostalgia for me, or the belief that things were just so much better in my day, but my daughter has already been subjected to the likes of Bagpuss and Mr Benn, and is now enduring the books which

I bought Flat Stanley for the illustrations by Tomi Ungerer, which are utterly superb line drawings in black and white, but the text is also outstanding a boy gets flattened when a notice board falls on him while he sleeps and spen

After hearing an American friend describe the book and how she visits parts of the world and sends a Flat Stanley to her nephew, I decided to buy the book for my sister's grandson. A lovely book and a good read and the recipient was really pleased with it. If I had to mark it down it would be because the glossy front cover does not prepare y

Bought this as small gift for a friend after parliamentary style debate as to how Stanley ended up flat and did he ever get back. Out of 8 of us (shall we say that we are all in our 40's to be polite) it was amazing to find we had all read it at school yet came up with three versions so this was a must and now a bible.

I would recommend any parent reading to their child to get this story. The actual f
