When Adam Came to Town

Temptation moves in next door Sylvie Carson has no idea what she's going to do with the rest of her life Artistically blocked she hopes a prolonged stay in the seaside village she grew up in will help her get over this. A great story of small town folk and their everyday life and issues with a wonderful romance or twoSylvie is a very talented artist who has found herself in a rut after her dad s heart attack and is unable to find it in her heart to paint She has returned home to the fishing village of Collina to help her brothers with their dad and try to get her mojo back So far that plan isn t working Then Adam comes to townAdam is the new guy in town he has inherited his Gran s house which just happens to be next door to Sylvie s Adam has secrets he doesn t want anyone especially Sylvie finding out about so he tries to keep to himself He s had a hard lifeand comes across as a bit of a tough guybut Sylvie sees another side of Adam I may have taken advantage of his good nature He s a teddy bear but he wants people to think he s a grizzly Sylvie s family believe she should be back in Toronto trying to get her painting back on track and at every chance they tell her so almost to the point that she feels not wanted in her home town She sets out to prove to them she can do something else with her life When her dad tells her he wants to sell the cafe they own she convinces the family to let her have a go at running it herselfAdam is busy with his house renovating and making it livable but has a problem with forgetting the beautiful Sylvia who he keeps trying to convince himself is too good for him After their first kiss Adam had backed off a move Sylvie is confused by considering the electricity that had emitted between the couple Then Adam suggests she move back to Toronto and take up painting again Sylvie sees him as being just as bad as her family pushing her into something she s no longer able to do and not even sure if she wants toThis is a lovely story of true love developing between two tortured souls It s not rushed into and they don t jump into bed together right off the cuff but there is a really stormy kissI loved the main charactersjust as much as the secondary characters who all have really important parts to play The story line is real and believable a bit of the usual angst aside but what would a great love story be with out that I really think this may be a great setting for a series at least a trilogy Kate with all the characters getting a HEA I d like to get a bit background on the characters such as what was going on with Sylvie s brother Cal and his wife Anita and some follow up on what might become of Dusty and TeressaAll in all an easy uick read I give it four stars The Illusionists up in will help her get over this. Charming romanceI read When Adam came to town written by Kate KellyIt s a charming romance between two tormented young people Sylvie is an artist and is blocked so she decides to return home to find some inspirationBut when Sylvie meets newcomer Adam Hunter she is intrigued by him and her life becomes complicatedThis romantic story is well written with real life characters that gets you interested until the end I suggest this book if you love a story filled with tenderness and passion

Ybe Adam is the muse she's been looking forbut his shadowed eyes suggest he's just one person keeping secrets from her Though Sylvie can't deny that Adam inspires passion in her the last thing she needs is a romancerigh.
